Australia’s skilled migration programme is competitive. To apply for a skilled visa, you must first submit an Expression of Interest (EOI) — and your points score determines your chances of being invited to apply. 

Your score is calculated based on factors such as: 

• Age 
• English language ability 
• Skilled work experience 
• Qualifications 
• Partner skills 
• Australian study or sponsorship 

You need a minimum of 65 points to be eligible — but the higher your score, the better your chances of receiving an invitation.
